A conversation about dance

I was on my phone because my silly computer wouldn’t connect me to the requisite interviewing software, and I burst into tears of frustration right beforehand.

There are currently two “But St. John Vianney saids” in the comments, which suggests that some critics are not actually watching the video. The conversation addresses this kind of argumentation, and Dr. Kwasniewski makes some interesting points about the probable context in which the Curรฉ d’Ars made his pastoral pronouncements.

As the argument heated to the boiling point last week, I hope we can all now savour our hot drinks calmly and in charity with one another. As I mention in the video, there have been arguments and admonitions about dancing in the Church for a very long time. (Nevertheless, Catholics have always danced.)

The strange sound you hear when Mr McCall describes me as a dance teacher is a company of ballet mistresses rolling in their graves.

The accent is 100% Toronto. Although I have lived in Scotland for 15 years, my voice is stuck in 2009.
